The Wine Country Model Club met on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Round Table in Rohnert Park for a very well-attended and energetic meeting, with approximately 25 members and guests in attendance. It was especially nice to see a number of returning members along with several newer faces, adding to the strong sense of momentum and engagement throughout the evening.
A significant portion of the meeting was devoted to a detailed overview of preparations for the upcoming Wine Country Model Expo, now just days away. Members received an update reflecting strong progress across all areas, and the evening underscored the high level of involvement and readiness within the club as the event approaches.
The Show & Tell portion of the meeting was lively and well attended, with members bringing a wide variety of impressive projects to share and discuss.
This month’s discussion topic asked: “What do you enjoy most about modeling shows? What makes them memorable?”The discussion generated a number of thoughtful comments, including observations about the quality of the models, the camaraderie and conversations that take place at shows, the importance of a welcoming atmosphere, and the fun and excitement that elements like raffles can add to the overall experience.
The Wine Country Model Expo will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Petaluma Community Center.
