The Wine Country Model Club held its first meeting of 2026 on Monday, January 5, 2026 at the Rohnert Park Round Table, with 20 members attending. We were pleased to welcome new members Steve Elliot and Patrick Galleguillos, and it was great to see the return of Waylon Lee.
Holiday Gift Exchange
We began with plans for our upcoming Holiday Gift Exchange, which will be held Saturday night, January 10, 2026. As always, we’ll be doing our annual Elephant Gift Exchange. Members may bring up to three gifts, and steals are allowed (and encouraged!).
Wine Country Model Expo Update
We then discussed progress on planning for the Wine Country Model Expo, scheduled for April 11, 2026. Vendor tables are selling briskly and may sell out soon. Members were encouraged to consider donating additional high-quality raffle items to support the show.
Club Field Trip
The club also confirmed details for our next field trip:

- Destination: Museum of Sonoma County
- Exhibit: Take Me to the Water: Histories of the Black Pacific
- Afterward: Group lunch at nearby Ausiello’s 5th Street Bar & Grill
Show & Tell and Discussion Topic
The evening’s Show & Tell session was outstanding, with members sharing a wide range of excellent work. Our discussion topic, fitting for the start of the year, was to share highlights from your 2025 modeling year and hopes and aspirations for 2026 at the bench.
